  • Fine
  • Busy: 75% full or more
  • Too busy: more than it can handle

Dot on a client: how its users are doing

  • ✓Fast
  • !Slow
  • ✕Errors
  • …Delayed: background work falls behind

Click a client, then Users, to change the traffic. Orange or red? Click it, then Fix, to see what to try.

Capacities are rough teaching figures, not benchmarks: real ones depend on the machine and the work each request does.

⌨ Shortcuts

Add

  • Click or drag a component from the sidebar
  • Draw a group, then drag an area (or click to place one)
  • Drag from a port to another component to connect
  • Drop a .json board file on the board to import it

Select and edit

  • Click a component, cable or group name to open its menu; dragging moves it without opening the menu
  • Double-click a component to read about it
  • Click a client, then Users, to set how many people use it; components show how busy they get
  • Click anything orange or red, then Fix, to see why and what to try
  • Double-click a cable or group name to rename it
  • Enter saves a name · Esc cancels it

Move

  • Drag a component to move it
  • Drag a group by its name: everything in it comes along
  • Drag a cable near its end, or Shift+drag a port, to unplug it and plug it elsewhere
  • Drag the empty board to pan · Scroll to zoom

Keys

  • Del or Backspace removes the selection
  • Ctrl/⌘+C, V copies and pastes a component
  • Ctrl/⌘+Z undoes the last change
  • Esc deselects, cancels drawing and closes menus
